How to install Umbrella Kodi Addon
Install Umbrella Repository
- You may need to enable unknown sources in your Kodi settings
- Go into your Kodi settings and open the file manager
- Select “Add source” and click on “None”
- Type in the path “https://umbrellaplug.github.io/” and select “Done”
- Highlight the box underneath and type in a name like “Umbrella” for this media source
- Click “OK”
- Go back to your main menu and select “Addons” on the left side
- Open the addon browser by clicking on the little box symbol at the top left
- Select “Install from ZIP file”
- Answer the warning message with “Yes”
- Open the source “Umbrella” and select the file “repository.umbrella-x.x.xx.zip”
- Wait until the notification appears that the repository was installed successfully

Install Umbrella Kodi Addon
- In your addon browser select “Install from repository”
- Select the installed “Umbrella Repository”
- Open the category “Video addons”
- Select Umbrella and click on “Install” on the bottom right
- Confirm the installation of the dependencies by selecting “OK”
- Wait until the notification appears that the Kodi addon was installed successfully
- Return to the main menu and the Kodi addon will be accessible from there
How to enable CocoScrapers in Umbrella
Since an update on August 24, 2023, scrapers are no longer automatically preselected in the Umbrella Kodi addon. The well-known CocoScrapers are also no longer installed together with Umbrella.
From now on, the CocoScrapers have to be installed manually and then activated in the Umbrella settings. Before you proceed with the steps below please follow our guide on how to install the CocoScrapers Module Kodi Addon.
- Open the Umbrella Kodi Addon
- Select “Tools”
- Click on “Settings: Providers”
- Turn on the toggle “Enable External Providers”
- Click on “External Provider”
- Select “CocoScrapers Module”
- Wait for the confirmation message at the top right of the screen
